We’ve come quite a distance from our organization’s modest beginnings. Back in 1992, the models of new vehicles outnumbered journalists, a third of whom were full-time media employees reporting on the automotive industry. Our fledgling event was one full day at Sears Point (now Sonoma) Raceway. Media Day became Days in ’94 when a day of driving in the Marin countryside was added. This year’s Media Days marked another milestone as Mazda Raceway becomes WeatherTech Raceway.  The 26th annual WAJ Media Days had the distinction of being the last event held at Mazda Raceway.  

For 2020, WAJ Media Day is ramping up for another premier event.  Our current planning will have the 2020 Media Day occurring on either Tuesday, April 21st or Tuesday, April 28th, so mark your calendar and save the date.  We expect to have the location and agenda as well as registration available shortly. #WAJMediaDay20
